Hands Poster (01 January 22)

Image
Call me weird but I do have some kind of affinity for hands. Given this beautiful hand interaction, I literally screamed. The whole story of Nevertheless is summed up in this poster. Jaeeon’s touch language has met Nabi’s doubtful soul yet they managed to comprehend. JE’s bracelet symbolized his masculinity. NB’s cute butterfly tattoo was actually on NB's wrist, but they put it on NB’s backhand on purpose, so that it could be included in the poster. They included NB and JE’s signatures in this Nevertheless poster which is clever! NB and JE’s hand interactions in the drama are summed up in the photo below. #Nevertheless is an expert in details, and of course they must have paid extra attention when shooting these hand interactions. They are all sexy af! If you see it closer, the tattoo and bracelet part are blurred. I bet this is on purpose too. I personally think it symbolized how JE and NB 'smoothened’ their characters but they didn’t abandon their true selves. Excellent metap...

Sunset Poster Analysis (25 January 22)

Image
I believe this was the first poster of Nevertheless posted on JTBC's ig. Such a bold choice and very creative. It clearly shows two students, intimate in how close they are standing. Her feet enclosed by his, slightly tilted, gives him a sense of steadiness, and hers a tad of uncertainty.  Plus the focus only on feet does make you think, so what are they doing, exactly? Then that orange of dusk, a moment between day and night, and being neither. Just like their ambiguous relationship.  It casts shadows that evoke a sense of mystery and then you read the text "I don't like it, but it's good." It perfectly encapsulates what is to come, but if you don't know a thing about the webtoon, it's a fascinating juxtaposition. doramaticbites

Head Leaning Poster Analysis (04 May 22)

I never talked about it but I really love this poster encapsulating their story. Jaeeon leaning on Nabi’s shoulder in a way depicts how his actions also rely on her choices. The close-up shots entail their intimacy. The intertwined fingers expressing connection. Also how the placements of the photos are collage-like, one on top of the other with no consistent manner. To me, it shows how messy and confusing their emotions were throughout the whole journey, how difficult it was to even try to understand. Nevertheless, they chose each other. mooonabi
