Nabi has to Communicate (27 July 21)

Hard agree with this thread. People wish Nabi and Dohyuk to be the endgame because they think Nabi deserves a healthy relationship and while it's true, does Nabi really want that when she's the one to anticipate bad things and put her own walls to Jae-eon too?

The biggest difference between the Webtoon and the drama is Jae-eon's character. They added more depth to him—his side of the coin, his conflicted feelings, his reason for being the way he is. In the Webtoon we get none of these, and that's why it's easier to hate Jae-eon there.

It's not that I blame Nabi, but I know people that would prefer to stick and "find sparks" in toxic relationships and that's because they haven't sorted their feelings out that's rooted in loving themselves. Nabi has this problem, and it's not her fault.

She never communicates how she likes, wants, or needs Jae-eon because she's afraid to get hurt—she has pride. She's afraid the same thing could happen again. While it's the same with Jae-eon, it's more like he doesn't know the feeling of having a healthy relationship, because he never had one, I guess? He screams abandonment issues and it probably stemmed from her mother who's going on trips for work so much. Yes, he is twisted, but so is Nabi, who feels more sparks from Jae-eon than Dohyuk, the nice guy.

It's good that Nabi knows she has to dissociate herself from Jae-eon in order to sort out her feelings first but if she's with Dohyuk, is she ready to not feel insecure and jealous and adapt a toxic mentality from her previous toxic relationships?

This is why I root for Nabi and Jae-eon more because they're similar to each other, they deserve each other, but they should really sort their issues first because if Nabi wanted to stay friends then why did she say to Seol-a that he likes doing it with the hair tied?

Communicate. Get clarity. I understand that Nabi needs time to recover from her toxic relationship that's not easy to do, but if she can't let go of Jae-eon yet, then she shouldn't look for a rebound that is Dohyuk. Yes, she should feel happy for once, but you don't only get happiness from romantic relationships. You get happiness from knowing and loving yourself first before you can ever love anyone else. And after she does that, would Nabi choose Dohyuk, the guy who loves her definitely, or Jae-eon, the guy who loves her indefinitely? Honestly, imagining Nabi to love herself is as hard as imagining Jae-eon to change his ways, because bouncing back to who you are after a long period of time is so easy. It's effortless, but that's why changes are major, right?

I don't know. We'll see how it goes because there are already big differences between the Webtoon and the drama. What a great adaptation.
