Tunnel of Reflection (14 August 21)
The first time they walked together he noticed the butterfly she never washed away. "Didn't you want to see me again?" Her answer doesn't match her thoughts. But for him, it's, "I'm glad to see you again," before he walks away.
The second time he reflects on his mother's words, realises he cannot love someone if he doesn't change the way he draws the line with people, with NB. And so he changes, tries not to let go, even when her answers don't match her thoughts.
So now it seems he again is in the tunnel of reflection and decision. He finds herself at her place once more. Whatever happens, change is painful, wanting to be with someone, equally so.
