Webtoon and Drama Differences (05 July 21)
I love this drama. I love how it deals with all the characters and how it works with the webtoon but gives more dimension to it. The webtoon characters are very 2D (figuratively and literally). They have little to no character development and start going in cycles by chapter 24.
I enjoyed the quick read but if not for the drama, I wouldn't have fallen in love with the characters. And the webtoon is having only 1 lead, that is Nabi. It is Nabi's story. And there are 4 guys she deals with in this duration. her ex, Jaeeon, the junior and Potato guy.
Jaeeon is the one who affected Nabi for the longest time. Nabi barely has any character dev, except learning to accept companionship (Potato guy) instead of lust (Jaeeon).
The drama shows Jaeeon as a much more humane person so idk how she is gonna get out of this deep dark hole.
(doramaticbites: I only read chapter summaries so I assumed the brevity was because I wasn't reading the whole chapters. Thanks for explaining. The drama is doing a great job with writing the characters. All of them seem real, and sometimes that can frustrate people. But I'm liking that aspect.)
Yeah the drama has not only made them real but also humane. No one is unnecessarily cruel (like webtoon Jaeeon). Instead they are relatable uni kids and they are different from the normal kdrama characters.
